Kim Bakey, CEO HomeServices of Iowa
Chief Executive Officer Kim Bakey oversees leadership and strategic planning for all of the HomeServices of Iowa companies, including brokerage, title, escrow/settlement, insurance and mortgage. With over 20 years of real estate experience, Kim has served in financial and senior management positions within HomeServices of Iowa since 1994.
An 1984 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in accounting, Kim began her career in public accounting with Coopers & Lybrand (n/k/a PricewaterhouseCoopers) followed by a six year period with Central Life Assurance Company (n/k/a Athene Annuity and Life Company). Kim has been a licensed CPA in Iowa since 1984. Additionally, Kim holds an Iowa real estate broker license.
Kim plays an active role in the Des Moines area communities and currently serves on the board of directors for Blank Children’s Hospital and the West Des Moines Student Scholarship Fund. Kim is active in various financial and real estate professional organizations. In 2010, Kim received the 2010 CFO of the Year Award as presented by the Business Record and Prairie Meadows; and in 2016, Kim was recognized by the Swanepoel Power 200 (SP200) Most Powerful People in Real Estate.
An Iowa native, Kim resides in West Des Moines with her husband, Tom. Together they have three daughters.
Eric Webster, General Manager of BHHS First Realty
As General Manager, Eric oversees all brokerage operations of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices First Realty. With over 15 years of real estate experience, Eric originally joined HomeServices of Iowa as a sales agent in 2003. After 8 years with the company, Eric was promoted into management, first at the office level, and then leading the education department of the company. He was promoted to General Manager of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices First Realty in May of 2016.
Prior to real estate, Eric was a PGA Golf Professional for 10 years following college at the University of Northern Iowa. He began his golf career at Hyperion Field Club in Johnston, Iowa. He worked as the Head Golf Professional at Eagle Ridge in Galena, IL, and then at Lake Panorama National in Panora, Iowa.
After leaving the golf industry in 1997, Eric co-founded Emperor Solutions, Inc., a technology consulting firm specializing in customized accounting software and enterprise web development.
Eric is a native Iowan. He has been married for 27 years to his wife, Ammy. Together they have four children.
