Kinnick/Feller Park is Adel's largest and oldest park and provides residents with are volleyball courts, softball fields, a football field, as well as the city's swimming pool, boat ramp to Raccoon River, playground equipment and full park amenities including grills, restrooms and park shelters.
Adel maintains its unique culture with special community events throughout the year. The Annual Atherton House Spring Kiln Opening brings together traditional, whimsical, functional, decorative pottery from 90 creative Americana potters. Enjoy a special collection of tiles and pottery, along with artist talks, wine and food.
The All Iowa Wine Festival, an annual event held in June brings together wine, food, music and a relaxed atmosphere where you can sample the premier of local Iowa wines. In August, come celebrate with the community at the annual Adel Sweet Corn Festival that features 7 tons of delicious sweet corn, one of the largest parades in Iowa, music, dancing, a car show, a 5K and much more. Stick around for the Dallas County Fair just north of Adel for six days of Grand Stand shows, livestock exhibits, rodeo events, live concerts, race events and more during this entertaining week!
